Abstract
Hack the Herd 2025 brings together Amherst College’s brightest minds to tackle crucial sustainability challenges through AI innovation. This collaborative event between AI in the Liberal Arts, the Office of Sustainability, Ideas 2 Innovation (i2i), and Computer Science clubs challenges participants to develop AI-powered solutions across four tracks: Climate Resilience, Food Waste, Waste Management, and Transportation Sustainability. The hackathon features distinguished judges including Professor Lee Spector, LinkedIn Engineer Dhyey Mavani, FINRA Director Harini Shankar, and other industry leaders. With $1000+ in prizes and specialized track awards, teams will compete to create impactful solutions that contribute to Amherst’s sustainability pathway.
