Abstract
Natural ventilated greenhouses are widely used in India due to their cost-effectiveness and suitability for vegetable and flower crop cultivation. This study develops mathematical models using energy balance equations to predict internal air temperature patterns in three types of naturally ventilated greenhouses. The models showed good agreement between predicted and measured data, effectively capturing the diurnal variation of weekly average internal air temperature. The comparative analysis of these greenhouses highlights the most viable alternatives to artificial greenhouses, aiding farmers in improving greenhouse efficiency and production. The FORTRAN programming language was employed to implement the models, under the guidance of Dr. Viral Joshi.
